It can sometimes be hard to know what cover to choose if you are unsure about the true cost of treatment.

The following examples of common procedures and UK prices may help you decide which level and benefits you need from your medical insurance.

MRI scan (no. of areas can vary) from £800 - £1,800
CT scan from £400 - £1,500
Initial consultation from £150 - £300
Follow-up consultation from £100 - £200
