Resident (GII) Health Plan

2 levels of cover designed for those who live permanently and wish to receive their medical treatment in either of the following countries: Spain, Portugal, Cyprus or France. Premiums and benefits are payable in euro. This plan includes a compulsory excess of €100 per person per year with the option to increase this to either €500 or €1000 to reduce your premiums. Premiums will increase every year with your age.

What's covered: Level 1 – Spain, Portugal, Cyprus or France:

  • €30,000 per year for all In-patient or Day-patient hospital treatment including cancer surgery and all In-patient and Day-patient specialist services.
  • €30,000 per year towards Oncology - For radiotherapy,chemotherapy and other non-surgical cancer therapies under the management of, and including the fees of, an oncologist. Cancer surgery is paid out of the In-Patient and Day-Patient benefits.
  • €1,500 per year towards the costs of Out-patient services (specialist consultations including follow-ups, minor surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, x-rays and scans).
  • €75 per year towards the cost of home or surgery visits with your Primary Care Physicians but excluding the costs of drugs and dressings.
  • 24 hour Private GP helpline.
  • No overall benefit maximum per person per year but subject to individual benefit limits where indicated.

What's covered: Level 2 – Your country of residence, as above, with cover for the UK (limits apply):

  • Paid in Full - for all In-patient or Day-patient hospital treatment including cancer surgery.
  • Paid in Full for all In-patient and Day-patient specialist services.
  • €25,000 towards any medical treatment received in UK.
  • €75,000 per year towards Oncology - For radiotherapy,chemotherapy and other non-surgical cancer therapies under the management of, and including the fees of, an oncologist. Cancer surgery is paid out of the In-Patient and Day-Patient benefits.
  • €2,500 per year towards the costs of Out-patient services (specialist consultations including follow-ups, minor surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, x-rays and scans).
  • €250 towards Out-patient Complementary Treatment (such as physiotherapy, osteopathy and chiropractic treatment).
  • €150 per year towards the cost of home or surgery visits with your Primary Care Physician but excluding the costs of drugs and dressings.
  • €250 per year towards Private Ambulance.
  • €250 per year towards Home Nursing.
  • 24 hour Private GP Helpline.

No overall benefit maximum per person per year, but subject to individual benefit limits where indicated.

What's not covered?

In addition to the general policy exclusions, there are no benefits available for:

  • Psychiatric treatment
  • Maternity
  • Pregnancy complications
  • Dental treatment
  • Treatment outside country of residence - Spain, Portugal, Cyprus or France (unless Level 2 taken for UK treatment)
  • Evacuation or repatriation
