Renewing your policy
Your policy with the Society runs on an annual basis from the date when you first joined.
Every year, we will write to you at least 3 weeks before your renewal date with details for the new policy year. This will include your revised premium and any changes that have been made on the plan.
If you are on an age at entry plan, you will notice that the premium increases will be lower than you may have experienced with other insurers. This is because of the way the Society protects its current members - please see our Age on Entry pricing for further details.
You will also note that, unlike many other insurers, we do not adjust your premium to take account of any claims that you have made in the past year. We believe this process (and not No claim discounts) is more inkeeping with our status as a friendly society.
At your renewal, if you decide that your cover no longer meets your needs and you would like to consider other options such as changing your level of cover, hospital list or excess or you are moving to another country, please call us on +44 (0) 1392 353500 and our Policy Review team will happily discuss amending your cover.
