Fixed Age at Entry pricing (applicable to Exeter Care Low Cost, Exeter Care Preferred, Shared Care, Interplan Euro, Interplan Expat, Interplan Malta and Interplan Worldwide)

Our fixed age at entry pricing could save you money on your premiums when renewing your cover each year. It is ideal for those who are looking to insure for the mid to long term with an insurer.

We base your premiums on your joining age and you will remain this age with us for your future premium calculations for as long as you keep the same cover.

Your premiums will still increase annually (usually at a rate greater than general inflation) as they are reviewed against medical inflation, the overall claims experience and other relevant factors.

But you can have peace of mind from knowing that as long as you keep your cover the same, the Society will:

  • base your renewal premiums on your joining age to avoid the steep premium increases linked solely to getting older that apply to many private medical insurance plans.
  • provide valuable cover at a lower cost than for a new member of the same age joining the same plan.

The benefits of Fixed Age at Entry Pricing are demonstrated on this example table for Exeter Care.

Age Attained pricing (applicable to Resident (GII) Health Plan)

Our Age Attained pricing is the more conventional way of pricing your policy.

Your premiums will increase annually (usually at a rate greater than general inflation) as they are reviewed against medical inflation, the overall claims experience and other relevant factors. With Age-Attained pricing, premiums will also be priced on your current age that year.

The premiums will increase year on year but may be cheaper initially than comparable plans, which makes this ideal for those who are looking to insure for the short to mid-term.
